How long to wait after dinner for bed

I just ate my dinner. I usually only have something small and I had some potatoes for dinner. Just something small.

I am tired. How long to wait for bed now.

Why do you need to wait? Just go now if you want to.

I'd go to bed and sit up slightly in bed for 30 minutes after you've eaten.

I am confused by the whole post. You just had potatoes for dinner? And now you feel you have to wait to go to bed?

Generally until you’ve moved away from your plate so you’re not like those photos of toddlers asleep in their high chairs with their face in their dinner.

You usually have something small, but have also eaten something small ?? Including potatoes…

I just ate half a large dominos pizza and now I'm in bed.
I haven't been taken away by aliens yet. Still seem to be breathing.

OP, I hear two hours is a good time to wait before going to bed after eating generally speaking but if I ate late one day and I was really tired or had to wake up early the next day personally I’d just brush my teeth and go to bed!

I eat dinner around 5pm and bed around 8pm usually.

I took pizza to bed with me! @BlueMountainAir as long as you go for a last loo trip and remember to brush your teeth properly (don't just run the brush under the tap now!) You can go whenever you want. No blue screen devices though.
