Does anyone else have posters or specific threads that stick with them, long after the thread ends or fills up?

The user above posted at length about her very difficult son in law, which resonated with me as we have a similar dynamic with my sister in law.

If you're still on here, I hope things have settled down at least and that you have a level of contact with your daughter and grandchildren that you're happy with.

This is how people get addicted to misery lit, I imagine.

I guess other posters can carry on with their own more elevated hobbies of learning Portugese or making models out of cardboard boxes if that makes them feel superior. In the meantime they could just live and let live, and let other people talk about posters they are interested in.

I second this, while I appreciate other people starting threads, the MN infrastructure makes it a lot harder to keep up when it's not the OP.
