This week can bugger off already because…

(Light-hearted, sort of. I know there are far worse problems than this)

This week:
-my car broke down again
-our boiler broke down so we had no/intermittent heating and hot water during all the snow
-my toddler got a D&V bug on Sunday and so I’ve had to take precious holiday days off work
-my crappy washer/dryer is broken so I now have piles of vomit/poop laundry resting in the bath until I can handwash when toddler is napping. Fun
-I’ve woken up with my throat feeling like I’ve swallowed broken glass

On the plus side - toddler is much brighter today bless him and older child seems to have escaped it. Also I have had a lot of tiny cuddles this week that I normally miss out on.

Anyone else looking forward to seeing the back of this week?

There’s nothing worse than having no washing machine. Our fridge gave up last month, cooker gave up whilst cooking Sunday roast, got a new one delivered Monday, but probably ordered too quickly as it’s not great and has a noisy fan. DH has also woken up with bad throat and has stayed in bed. Dog hasn’t gone out yet as DH usually does the early walk, he’s not happy either.

I'm looking forward to seeing the back of 2023 as a whole. But specifically this week,

-My daughter is teething
-Both children and DH have norovirus
-The carpet in my daughters room is stained with toddler vomit
-My phone screen broke
-We've used £100 of gas due to extremely cold temperatures
-Strong winds blew my greenhouse over so there's soil absolutely everywhere
-Broke my favourite drinking straw
-Due to both kids D&V, I've got a mountain of laundry to do
-House is a mess and I don't have the mental and physical energy to do anything
-My work are potentially striking, union talks ongoing but if a strike happens it'll cause chaos and shortages across the country

@Mindymomo why do appliances always break down at the same time? What a pain
@Lemonandorange yup that’s a terrible week. Poor you! Get well soon

I forgot to mention that also my favourite chicken got killed by a bird of prey.
