My little boy is about to start a medication that will really increase his appetite.

I need to send him to school with plenty of snacks, they need to be things that are ok out of the fridge. He has ASD so school are happy for him to have snacks that arent typically "healthy" so cakes would be ok. But obviously id like the majority to be healthy snacks.

Im stuck trying to think of snacks that might help him feel a bit full.

Any snack suggestions would be really appreciated!

Thanks

Nut free school?

Google recipe for 'bliss balls' and the like - blitzed up dates, nuts, maybe choc chips, coconut etc - All rolled up into little balls

If you send him in with a little cool bag where his snacks are kept that opens your options a little for things like -
Yoghurt tubes
Cheese triangles and oat cakes
Flapjacks home made so you make them less sugary?
Dried apricots
Home made cakes you can freeze - then you can make them healthier - little carrot cake muffins etc
Little egg muffins with cheese (again fine in a little cool bag)
Nutella / peanut butter / jam sandwich triangles
Cheese cubes

Babybels
Cooked sausages
Pastry pin wheels are so versatile are once cooked feeeze easily - pop them in his bag frozen and they'll be fine by mid morning

Mix of veg cut up - carrots, celery, cucumber, little tomatoes, peppers
Grapes, bananas
Breadsticks or Ryvitas
Trail mix / fruit and nut mix, if nuts are allowed
Dried banana
Yoghurt covered raisins
Oat cakes
