my TSH result is 0.37 mlU/L which my GP says is normal range. they didn't test T3 or T4. I have years and years of fatigue/brain fog etc. which I know is signs of hypo whereas low TSH is sign of hyper.

my glands in my neck are sore and my voice is gravely. scan a few years ago showed enlarged thyroid with nodules

is my TSH really not low enough to be abnormal??

I am so desperate to feel normal/better

Sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. If possible I would ask if they can do a test for t4 (and t3 if you can get it) just to check. With tsh, the higher the number the worse the hypo situation… so when it’s working well the tsh number will be low. Ideally to show the tsh is in good range it needs to be below 2- which yours is. If it’s super low e.g 0.01 then would be classed as hyper (too much energy, too hot, bulging eyes, losing weight etc).
could there be anything else causing your symptoms? Low iron maybe? Low vit d or b12? Menopause? How’s your diet? How well are you sleeping?
hope you find some answers soon

Also… can you feel if any of the thyroid nodules have changed at all? Maybe they could do another scan?
