A bit boring but I can’t find a clear answer anywhere and I’ve been trying to figure this out for weeks!
Specifically I work for the nhs and I’d like to drop to 30 hours and pick up a days private work. I had a baby last year and would like to ttc another early next year so the impact on maternity pay is a consideration. Ideally I’d need to continue with my private work during any further maternity leave if I drop hours but I can’t figure out if I’d then be eligible for statutory maternity pay?
Would be good to hear from anybody who’s done this and what you were eligible for. I could either set up as a limited company or self employed so also not clear how this could impact it.
