Getting a US-only magazine delivered to the UK?

I got a lovely magazine when I was a child that is still going but they used to deliver to the UK and now only do the US/Canada. Does anyone know if it's possible to use some kind of mailbox service to get a magazine subscription delivered to the UK?
They do digital but I'd much rather get DD a paper copy as she's much more likely to read it.
The one I got was Cricket but it's now divided into age ranges so her age range is called Spider. (Subtle ploy to get her liking spiders, too. She's OK with pictures of them - don't worry - I'm not going to traumatise her unlike my DF who bought the DCs a huge remote control tarantula last Christmas and her screams could be heard in the next county)

I've looked at US mailbox services but they seem to be a minimum of $15 per package and a letter goes for about $3 (up to our large letter size) so a children's magazine should be less than $15.

It may be worth talking to your local WH Smith - in the past I have used them to order international magazines and then I picked them up at the shops each month it came. I havent done this for a few years so dont know the situation now but I would have thought its still possible; you will need the ISSN (international standard serial number - like ISBN but for magazines) to ensure you get the right one

There's a website called Newsstand that sells a very wide range of foreign magazines - they're UK-based too.

Newsstand don't carry it, though they have a load of Spiderman and Cricketer options!
I am not sure they would ship to a newsagent in the UK given they don't ship to private UK addresses? They don't seem to sell to newsagents in the US either.

Do you have any friends in Canada or the US who might be prepared to arrange it for you, if you were to send them the funds?

My first thought was Newsstand, too. Such a shame they don't have it.

I use a mailing service from the US to order all sorts of things - my mall box.

It might be worth trialing that for one month and seeing the costs? I've found it really reasonable.

If that doesn't work, perhaps trying to find a UK based importer? I use several ladies who run businesses importing to the UK (I get sweets, grocery items, clothes, homeware - all sorts!) and they buy it with their US based partner, ship things over in bulk and post out once they're in the UK. There's up charges to pay for this and their time but it's 100% worth it to get your hands on USA goodies.

I have thought of a friend - I have family but they are very flaky TBH - it would be a big ask for a friend who would have to pack it up every month.

I've just looked up the equivalent of Large Letter and it actually looks like it would be over $10 for one magazine (though two might go for the same) which even just dropping it off at the post office seems like a lot. Oh well, nice idea!
