Any ideas please? It's for goddaughter- I'm fairly close to her but I don't want to risk choosing jewellery. She's a typical Gen Z, lives in London, no particular hobbies. Off to uni in September and travelling over summer.

Help!

TALA leggings
Stanley oversized water cup
Choose Love merchandise
Sephora voucher ( if they do vouchers)
Clothes from Urban Outfitters/and other stories/ adidas if she's sporty
Starbucks voucher
EarPod case if she wears them ( not on the high street have some lovely monogrammed ones and lots of other ideas)
Would avoid Pandora

If she's off to uni in September and a coffee drinker perhaps a coffee machine but one she can use the dupe pods for
Rig for her room
Lightweight dressing gown
Sliders for the shower or wash bag
Unbreakable water/ drinks glasses
Fairy lights and fake plants ( IKEA ) the long version you can string up with your lights
Bunting ( oxfam have lovely ones made from saris) to intertwine with fairy lights for halls
Doorstop for halls ( allows them to keep door open to meet others in the early days)

I guess I was thinking along the lines of a "special" gift for her 18th - as it will be the last gift I get her - rather than things like dressing gown or leggings etc...

Gift cards to makeup/accesories stores
Items from her favorite bands/artists' official stores
Fancy water bottle or shaker if she's into sports and uses it for makig protein drinks
Something she can use for her studies, like a professional slideshow software or iMovie for Windows. These are helpful for making presentations or videos for classes that require that
Travel sizes of skin-care products
Face masks

My DD is 17. I honestly can’t think of a ‘special thing’ that she would appreciate now, and will still use in even ten years time. I think you risk it being a ‘put in the drawer and take out occasionally’ item. Money towards her trip will be the most appreciated.

For my nieces' 18th or 21st birthdays I have made up a really nice hamper full of the things they like ( having asked their mums what to include) So stuff like:
-Sweets/ chocolate
-Make up
-Drinks
-T shirts/ socks ( themed)
-Bottle of fizz/ cans of ready made cocktails
-One slightly more expensive item like earrings/ ring/ necklace etc
-Little credit card wallet/ purse.

These have always gone down really well.
