Quick question re night sweats

When you have them do you feel hot or are they just excessive sweating but not hot?

I'm 37 and having night sweats I suspect it's due to my anti depressants rather than peri as I have a regular cycle, definitely ovulate every time and have no other peri symptoms. But I'm exploring causes.... I wake up sweaty but don't feel hot.

I Googled it and various sites talk about it being like a hot flush but during the day so I'm slight confused! Thanks

I had terrible night sweats while on sertraline. I was 38, no other peri menopause signs. Once I stopped the medication, they disappeared.

@foxlover47 strange isn't it? It's really starting to annoy me now and I'm getting sick of it. At first I thought it was probably the duvet cover or something, but it's happening wherever I stay, so it's not my duvet etc.
I'm not on any tablets for anything either.
Maybe it's an age thing? Confused

I generally wake up because I am freezing cold. I think this happens after sweating then throwing off the covers which I am unaware of doing. I just know I am freezing cold and have to do some full body, to the the bone shivers to warm back up again. My hair and pjs are usually damp. I am taking hrt so not sure why I am still getting the night sweats. It might just be that I am just getting too hot and nothing to do with the meds🤔
