Any radiologists here - my ultrasound report was incorrect

It says I have 2 ovaries. I definitely only have one 😂

Wondering how this mistake can be made? What exactly did they see that they mistook for my missing ovary?

Not sure the medical professional today believed me over the report, I did joke that it must have grown back then 🙄

Probably an ovarian cyst ?

Cut and paste from a previous report?
(Not of the ovary you understand,....)

But how would they be an ovarian cyst if there is no ovary there?

I've seen this on my child's school report (wrong name) but didn't think they'd be allowed to c&p on a radiology report as they're quite technical and more important!

I had a report saying a cyst on my left ovary on one u/s and the next one saying it was on my right. That was fun!

An ex received the autopsy report for his mum, describing her gall bladder size- which she'd had removed 2 yrs earlier!!!

Mistakes happen but sounds very odd. Have you called where the ultrasound was done and ask? Could it be a loop of bowel they saw? Do you have a CD/video of the ultrasound or just the report? I'm not a radiographer BTW 🤔

It's just a report I think - but I don't have a copy, it was on the computer at the hospital.

I did ask if he had the correct person's report and he confirmed it was defo me.
