Train strikes + traffic

im meant to be driving from Surrey to Essex on a Saturday train strike day.
will the roads be utter chaos? ? Thanks!

I've been driving on train strike days and the roads haven't been any busier at rush hour. I think people who can are using buses and lots of people who can't are working from home.
