Neighbour possibly stole brush from my apartment courtyard

So I live in a ground floor apartment which has a small courtyard at the back. Today I bought some plants to try and make it look more presentable and noticed the brush I have to sweep the paving outside has disappeared. I wondered if some painters who had painted the exterior of the property a couple of months ago might have taken it. So I used a dustpan and brush to clear leaves etc. Except when I got to the partition of the fence between my apartment and next door I was able to peep through and realised my neighbours had the brush in their courtyard! I am feeling pretty weirded out by this. Like they must have climbed between the fence to come and get it. Photo attached of the evidence. Do you think I should go and ask them for it back or cut my losses?
I could be paranoid but a couple of weeks ago when I went to bed all the plugs had been removed from an extension chord including the light on my bedside drawers which had been pulled out. I thought nothing of it at the time but now I am wondering if someone has been in my bedroom too. There was also unexplained dirt in the bedside drawers which I noticed today. Photo attached of the drawers with everything taken out. Apart from the obvious evidence of the brush next door I am probably being paranoid do you think?

It's unlikely that your neighbour is going in your bedroom and moving stuff. Do you have a carbon monoxide detector? Just there was a reddit post where someone thought their landlord was going in without permission and leaving post it notes but it turned out they had carbon monoxide poisoning and were leaving the notes themselves and forgetting.

Ask them if you can borrow "their" brush.

Maybe they used the brush to give their yard a quick sweep and too lazy to replace it? Just ask for it back?
