Does a comfortable sofa bed actually exist?!

Recommendations please!! Needs to be comfortable as both a bed and sofa as will be used a lot for both uses. Don't want a roll-out one as our less mobile guests won't be able to get up from floor height Smile

Try SCS if you have £1700 as the budget

Then yes they do exist

We had one for years from SafaSofa I think ... made in Wales, very good as sofa and bed. Lasted about 15 years with small children and occasional guests.

Ooh, I want to know this too! Alas, budget won’t stretch to SCS as mentioned above.
Surely there must be something affordable that’s still comfortable?!
When I was younger, futons were all the rage, but I remember them being uncomfortable both to sit on and as beds.

We have one of the ikea ones that costs around 1000 euros. It’s amazingly
comfortable as a bed. I am really fussy. I think it is the Vimle. It’s rock solid as a bed and very comfortable as a sofa.

Thank you all! Some great suggestions here

We have a cocoon sofa bed. It's pretty good actually and very long (useful for us tall people)

We've just bought a cheap metal day bed frame and I'm so pleased with it. It has a single mattress on it and a trundle underneath that pulls out to make a double bed. I used four pillows and three large cushions along the back and sides to make it into a comfy sofa. It's lovely. It's like the one in the first picture, but I've loaded it up with pillows and cushions like the second:

My brother and SIL have one from IKEA. We slept on it at Xmas and it is far more comfortable than the blow up double bed that we’ve got. We’re thinking about getting one.

We also have two of the ikea vimle sofa beds. They are really good. We have a 2 seater version in office, and a larger corner one in playroom, both have the same size sofa bed pull out element in.
The playroom one has toddlers launch themselves off it regularly and I sit on it often when Ds is playing and it’s comfy.
