What's wrong with my eye ?

For the last few days my left eye has been watering constantly and my eyelid sore
This is how my eyes currently look
What could be wrong ?

I mean you could go and see an optician who's trained to examine eyes and has had extensive training in diagnosing eye conditions.
or you could ask random mumsnetters

Hay Fever? Mines rubbish at the mo.

I'm booked to see the optician on Wednesday- I'm posting on here whilst I wait to be seen to see if anyone has had anything similar
