How often do you go out?

I mean to do something nice with family and friends? I don't mean a walk in the park, but going out for a meal, to theatre, to pub, day out, etc?

It would be strange to me NOT to go out at the weekend. This weekend we’ve got 2 dinners at friends’ houses, last night and tonight. I went to a classical concert on Friday. Meeting friends for a coffee this morning.

Go for a lot of weekends away and do cinema, walks with friends, theatre etc.
Even when we were at our most skint, we always prioritised having friends around or going to eat at theirs. I couldn’t image staying at home all weekend.

We usually go out at least once a weekend to do something like the cinema, have a meal out somewhere, go to a city to look round etc. But we don’t really have any friends or family so it’s just dh, me and Ds aged 11. The other day we tend to go for a walk locally (rural) and just slob around at home.

With the cost of living being what it is I can either save for a holiday or go out and do stuff. I can’t afford both. So I personally have chosen to save for a holiday. I’m really not that bothered about going out for meals, coffee, pub etc. I have a lot of home hobbies that keep me occupied in my spare time. The odd bits of spare money I do have, I’d rather spend on my hobbies. In value for money terms, they keep me occupied for a lot longer!

Around two or three a week. Either lunch or dinner out a gig or exhibition, weekend away etc. I try not to do anymore than twice a week as the older I get, the more I enjoy chilling at home!

Pre covid we used to go out for lunch or dinner on Saturday every week. I also used to meet a friend for lunch every Thursday.

Now I still meet the for the lunch on Thursday every week, we go out less for lunch or dinner on Saturdays now

We used to go to the theatre or cinema a lot as well. Unfortunately during menopause my allergies became substantially worse. If I am near someone wearing perfume and some types are worse than others I begin sneezing and getting a sore throat so I just don’t risk any sort of seated environment where I will be sat for hours in exactly the same place. It’s an absolute pita. I have these charcoal things I can stick up my nose when on a plane but I can’t be bothered for just a cinema trip.
