Best places to holiday in Europe with 14 and 12 year old?

Travelling for a week in mid August. Got 2 boys who will be 14 and 12, the 14yo doesn't like beaches/sand but the 12yo does. Ideally a place with a pool, not too excessively hot, and not extortionately expensive.

Does it exist?!

Oh, and BA needs to fly there!

Lake Garda.
You can fly to Verona, Milan, Bergamo etc. Desenzano is direct train from Verona.

Has anyone been to Sweden? Have ended up looking at holidays there (and the flights are cheap!).

I came on to say Annecy. We went last year with 2 DC that age and two younger. We drove and stayed with Eurocamp but Geneva is an easy distance. Lots to do on the lake, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc is a really good day trip.
