Toddler has a cough again - send help!

He had a bout of tonsilitis a little while ago which came with a cough, he was JUST getting rid of it three weeks later when a new viral infection has hit. SIGH. Farewell sleep and sanity.

he seems to be particularly prone to them so gets a cough with everything, and I was very much hoping we were over the worst after a terrible first year at nursery last year.

I suppose I should be thankful we had a clear January and half of feb…

but still… cries

Praise god for the humidifier that is all.

Here's hoping your sleep is not affected too much! 🤞🏻 my toddler only goes to nursery one morning a week and seems to get everything just from that!

Thanks @IndiaRose22 that was us the first half of last year. He now does five days and it IS much better than he was but it still feels pretty relentless. He hasn’t been in nursery a year yet and I’m sure someone said it’s 18 months before all this calms down 😭

How did he sleep @Embelline ? We are all full of a cold here today it seems! Oh no, really? My LO won't do a full week until he's 3 so not looking forward to thar now haha 😅

@IndiaRose22 thanks for checking in! It was awful until about 1am then he slept soundly for the rest of the night and bizarrely didn't cough much, neither has he coughed much all day.... I however was wide awake after 1am and unable to sleep - typical!

Hopefully yours will be made of sturdier stuff by then and won't end up getting everything going! Nobody warns you about this part of parenting!
