How to dress and open finger wound

POSTING IN CHAT FOR MORE TRAFFIC
I stupidly sliced the tip off one of my fingers and the pad off another ten days ago. The walk-in centre dressed them and applied a bovine collagen dressing to help with the clotting. I was told these would fall off, one has, but the other is stuck fast, and I'm unsure if I should soak it off or leave it!
The one that has no bovine dressing on is still weeping, but again I'm unsure if I should keep it covered (and soak the dressing off when needed) or leave it to air out! The pharmacy has said they can't advise and to go back to the walk-in, but I really don't want to waste a slot for advice on a dressing!
Can anyone offer any advice, please?
Can include a pic if needed!

Ooh post a picture!

If it’s not too much of a faff, I’d be tempted to go to the walk in centre as they should be able to tell you if they can help or not. Is it worth seeing if you can see a nurse at your GP?

I’m not surprised by the pharmacist, I’ve never found them particularly wiling to offer any advice on anything other than drugs.

Thanks. Pics attached. Hard to get a decent photo though!

Well if it were me, I’d probably wait till next week and if it still hasn’t come off, I’d ask to see the nurse at my GP. I think it looks ok but hopefully someone else will come along with some advice!

Thanks, that's my gut feeling. I'll see if I can get a slot with my practice nurse if no change next week.

If it were me, I'd probably have an Elastoplast over the raw bit/s and leave the one with the collagen patch. It looks nasty, BTW!

Thanks, that's what I've done for today.
