Boring dishwasher advice please

I’ve been told by my daughter that some of “clean” things in my kitchen cupboards still have residue on them urgh. She told me in a nice way as I’ve always told her that I would like to know if washing up wasn’t up to scratch) as my eyesight isn’t as good as it was.

I do want to invest in a dishwasher - never had one before. I live in a extra care flat and the bottom of the worktops have an extra piece of wood going across as the worktops can lower if you need a wheelchair (picture attached) I’m wondering what sort of dishwasher I could fit under it. You have to order the dishwasher before you can arrange delivery and installation so I don’t want to pick the wrong one. I’m useless about this sort of thing and my son can’t get here for a while. Sorry this is long and boring.

Would you have space for a worktop dishwasher? If not I’m sure your existing kitchen could be adapted but it would presumably then restrict you from altering the height of the worktop?

examples here

I have a countertop dishwasher. I just attach it to the tap when I use it. It might be easier than finding on that can fit under the counter.
