Families with older kids - what do you use to keep track of family life?

Is there a good app that we can all share on our phones to keep track of sports / work / social / who's at home and when?

I've had a look through the app store and tried a couple but not found anything great yet.

At the moment I write a big weekly planner for the kitchen wall every Sunday night.

Any recommendations?

I have a month to view family calendar in the kitchen.
If its not on there it's not happening. The dc know they need to put on there anything they're doing/need me to do.

We have always (well, 10 years or so) just used a shared Google calendar. The children are young adults and do their own thing now but can still see it and know what we are up to and occasionally add things or use it to suggest when they come visit etc.

Shared calendar on our phones with reminders is the main way, as well as talking over food etc

I've never really got on with Google calendar. Maybe I need to have another go.

Ours is just with iPhones as we have family sharing

Shared google calendar.

We have a 'family' gmail account with a generic family name email address which is also really handy for school/clubs, so both myself and my husband can access the comms. We also use this account as the main calendar which is then shared with individual gmail accounts.

We use www.oalworld.com it very user friendly and also have a private family community.
