Bad hair dye help

Yesterday I had my hair dyed by the usual person. I asked for copper light. Instead I’ve got some horrendous mid red with terrible streaky brash blond highlights. The highlights looks like the 90s style stripe…awful.

Any advice about how I can sort this at home? Maybe tone down the overall contrast between the two colours? Or is it best to just go to another salon and get it sorted properly?

the base red I don’t mind, it’s just the awful blond highlights that look terrible, especially at the root area.

I had this issue last year and used Bleach London Toner in proper copper

It settled the bleach highlights right down and looked so beautiful. And it was long lasting too (but I guess my hair may be a little porous!) X

Thanks @Autocadelite what does the bleach london toner do? Darken the highlights?

Im not particularly good at the hair stuff so don’t always know what each term means.

Go back. They should be able to correct it. Don’t pay.

This is how it looks! Worse at the front when it down.

the photo doesn’t show the red tones very well though. In real life the main part of my hair is a mid red/brown colour

To be honest I don’t trust the person who did it to redo it. I know I should just go back, but I think the issue is it’s a very small salon with women who are used to doing the same thing to the same clients for years. I think maybe they trained when this technique of highlighting was the norm (if you see what I mean. It’s more a local salon than ‘fashion’ salon- my mistake for going there for what I wanted I think
