Hello, please settle a quick debate that has us both doubting ourselves!
If you start a job sept 1st, when is 6 months probation over?
Sounds straightforward but two people disagree and now neither are convinced Grin

1st March? But isn't it more likely to be when your 6 month review happens, rather than on a specific date?

LaRitournelle · 10/03/2023 06:36

1st March but agree with PP it's more likely to be when your probation review is which should be around that date.

DDivaStar · 10/03/2023 06:36

Due to finish 1st march but guessing its when.youve had your probation meeting.

Sux2buthen · 10/03/2023 06:37

Yes of course, but in this situation it has not been mentioned (hence the uncertainty)

You need to mention it to your manager then, they might not have realised it's been 6 months.

GoodChat · 10/03/2023 06:49

1st March.

Isn't there a rule that if you don't have your review on or before that date that you automatically pass, though? Maybe that's no longer relevant due to the change in rulings around probation/the 2 year thing.

Sux2buthen · 10/03/2023 06:53

It's in schools if that makes a difference
