Delay repay if work have bought tickets

If your workplace has a train ticket system/pay for your train tickets what happens if your train is delayed and money could be claimed back. Do you claim the money back on behalf of your organisation because they paid or do you claim it back for yourself in compensation for your lost time? Interested in getting an idea of how different places do it as my work place are changing how they do this.

i claimed once when eligible, but didn't tell work i'd claimed, it was such a small amount. i don't think most companies would know, unless it was a big delay eg iceland volcano cloud!!

i work in HR and i've never had a work policy which said that any compensation needed to go back to the company. if there was something in the policy, you'd need to follow that.

I used to do the delay repay on my phone during the delay and yes the money would come.back to me, it was usually my time wasted stood on a platform waiting for the train.

Depends on the rules of your company
I used to get £1000 a month when I worked for an international company on open 1sts
DH- his went to the company of you opted for cash but if vouchers you could have them.

Last time I worked full-time the policy was you got the money because you had to cope with the delay.

It goes back to the individual where I work, because the individual suffered the delay. I'm not sure I'd bother reclaiming if the money went to the company, and I'm not sure how they'd keep track of it if I did. I've just received compensation today for a delay in July 22.
