Are they any good?
I’m thinking of getting one for dd so she can make something a little healthier than her usual post school packet of crisps!

Watching with interest! I'm desperate to get one 🤣

MrsH497 · 09/03/2023 13:25

I've got one and I like it, there's a FB group with all the recipes people have tried

HowdoIgetbacktothe80s · 09/03/2023 13:27

Allblackeverythingalways well, I’ve just ordered one off Amazon. I’m a sucker for a kitchen gadget!
Thats good to know MrsH497, I will join that.

Yes, bought them for DDs to take to Uni. They’re good but definitely buy a toaster bag to toast them in

DoesItMakeYouFeelBetter · 09/03/2023 13:32

Sometimes work and sometimes don’t , and then you end up with cheese burning in the toaster

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 09/03/2023 13:38

Considered it and went for a proper sandwich toaster instead. (With grill plate).

Thanks for the tip MandyMotherOfBrian
I’ll definitely use a toaster bag then DoesItMakeYouFeelBetter

We have on and ds loves it! Great for something quick when he comes back from school. They have loads of ideas of FB but he is quite happy with cheese!

Very good. But quite small so lots of waste on a normal loaf.
mine does nutella and banana ones a lot. So not sure it’s healthier than crisps! They do cheese toasties in the frying pan with a bacon press.

MobilityCat · 09/03/2023 13:44

I have one and cook all sorts of stuff in it, from cheese to leftovers. Brilliant little accessory.

HowdoIgetbacktothe80s · 09/03/2023 14:13

VegetablesFightingToReclaimTheAubergieneEmoji I think you are supposed to use the Crimpit with sandwich thins?

I don't use sandwich thins, but I do use crustless bread with a filling between them in the Crimpit

SgtCatherineCawood · 09/03/2023 16:51

I love the one I got DH for Christmas! He uses it in a morning then leaves it for me to use. I definitely need to invest in a toaster bag so I be more adventurous though!

We don’t eat them normally so just use whatever bread we have in.

Bapple · 09/03/2023 19:47

I use puff pastry in mine. Roll it out to size and fill with sausage meat, onion and sliced boiled egg- then pop it in the airfryer for 20 mins.

ThatsNiceVeryNice · 09/03/2023 20:04

Just use the edge of a knife to swish the edge of the bread or quickly pinch it together. Works just as well and you can do it to fit the size and shape of the slices of bread.
It's free too

HowdoIgetbacktothe80s · 10/03/2023 17:19

I love that idea

I just cook them in the air fryer, 6 Mins at 190. Just eating one filled with left over pork, apple sauce and mayonnaise. Another favourite filling is corned beef, cheese and baby pickled onions!

HowdoIgetbacktothe80s · 01/05/2023 16:38

OnedayIwillfeelfree they sound delicious

Am I unreasonable for thinking this was a crimping device for underarm hair?

TragicMuse · 01/05/2023 16:47

I was thinking a pasta roller would do the same job, must experiment!
