There's a good thread on the Feminism board but I thought I'd bump this.

This is so important for women as it keeps men out of our prisons, competitive sports and refuges.

I signed it already, as did DH and DD. Tried to sign twice (had forgotten we had done it earlier as so long ago!) but it wouldn't let me.

I agree with the aims of the petition but all "we've done" is required the government to consider a debate in Parliament. It doesn't mean anything will be done.

I agree. We must also lobby our MPs. #sexmatters on Twitter has a good template.

There is no guarantee there will be a debate.

The government only has to consider it.

However negative you may feel about the potential outcome of this petition, it’s still a win that it has exceeded 100K. It means that more people are discussing the issues and affirming GC thought.
