if you enjoy sugar crafting, what else do you like?

Looking for inspiration for a retirement present..the lady os very good at sugar crafting, but does not always have the opportunity to practice this.
I'm wondering if there are any alternatives whereby the practice is similar (sorry of im missing something obvious!)

When I was learning to make sugarpaste flowers I sometimes practiced with air-drying modelling clay. I stopped using it because sugarpaste turned out to be much cheaper. A few small packs of a good modelling clay in different colours and an instruction book of sugarpaste flowers might be a nice gift. You could include some florist wire and tape, so she could make floral arrangements.
