Negotiation Course

I'm going on a 4 day residential negotiation course in a few months.
The itinerary sounds quite intense. 8-8 with 'homework'...

Has anyone been on something similar? Any tips?

What kind of negotiation? 12 hours a day sounds quite ridiculous for training as no-one can assimilate that amount of information in one go. I work in Procurement and have done many negotiation (and other) trainings, residential or otherwise over the years but I have never seen anything with a timetable like that.

I'm guessing negotiation is negotiation regardless of the field you're in....? I'm a buyer in fmcg.
It's ridiculous isn't it....? My line mgr has told me to be prepared to be pushed out of my comfort zone.....
Other colleagues have been on it previously (it's not an internal course) and have all said good things about it, but they are a lot more ambitious than me so perhaps more their thing for progression and development.

I was hoping for some tips from anyone who has done similar but maybe it's more unique than I thought.

Negotiating with who? Terrorists?Toddlers?!
