Would you take a year out of date spatone iron supplement ?

It will be safe, and depending on how far out of date it will probably be just as effective. They can lose their potency over time but it's better than nothing

They never taste okay. It’s like licking a rusty fence!

They also aren’t very high in iron, they can keep you topped up if your iron is normal but, if you are low to begin with, they aren’t much good.

I'm pretty sure iron isn't going to deteriorate. I would definitely take it.

Although it is not a very high dose of iron it IS very available iron - more like that from food than from a supplement. So it is definitely worth taking. I found it upped my blood count far more effectively than a much higher dose that gave me gastric symptoms and severe constipation. I do double the dose when I need to increase my levels. (In principle I do single doses to keep me up but I'm not great at remembering when I'm ok.)
