birthday present suggestions for a 14yo

DS has been invited to a classmates birthday celebration which is an adventure-type activity. A reasonably nice gift is appropriare as the activity isn't cheap and DS will really enjoy it. Budget about £25 ish, give or take. DS totally clueless about what to give. don't want to give tokens/money. what would you suggest?

The honest answer is a gift voucher, it's what most teens would actually want or enjoy the use of, and if the money's being spent regardless I never think it makes much difference to the person giving the gift.

If DS doesn't know and you don't know the child there's no real way of knowing what they have at home or what they're into so better a voucher spent than a waste of money IMO.
