Hi all, I'm in need of some interior design tips please Smile

I'm getting a new kitchen installed. It's very small but got good lighting. I don't want it to look too dark.

What colour should I paint the walls?

I'm thinking a light green? Kind of like the colour you get when you post on Mumsnet Grin

Aargh - pressed too soon. I have sage green doors with very pale pink walls and a pink teapot. Actually designed the whole thing around the teapot.

I'd keep it all white and have green accents, natural dark wood accessories and green plants

JustSoTired23 · 07/03/2023 14:46

Green sage

NastyNiff · 07/03/2023 14:49

Pale lemon. But then I always say that.

Unbridezilla · 07/03/2023 14:51

Crown mellow sage is a nice bright sage (slightly blue undertone in my room, which helps keep it looking light)

Lelivre · 07/03/2023 14:57

Two colours? One on the top cabinets and one on the low ones. If it isn't too late order wall cabinets that go to the ceiling. It just collects greasy dust and is wasted storage space.

Neutrals are back. I am about to paint mine a blackened green after tiring of dark blue. It's a very bright room so I fancy a deep colour.

If I was starting over I would probably go for black and white as it's more current than all the mid tones / greys / navy that have been around the last ten years.

Another vote for sage green here. It would go well with your flooring.

Thank you everyone Smile
I think sage green is the way to go!

Off white

FrogFairy · 07/03/2023 17:01

Dulux tranquil dawn is similar to the Mumsnet green.

Bluevelvetsofa · 07/03/2023 17:22

I’ve got Tranquil Dawn in the kitchen.

I really like F&B 'light Blue' it actually comes up as a nice green colour in most lights. A bit less intense than sage green though.

Just pulled a few kitchen photos off the F&B website

Sorry, I don't know about wall paint but i'd love to know what your flooring is, it's just what I'm looking for. Would you mind telling me what it is/where its from please?

Yes I agree. Green is so funny to get right and this comes up a lovely muted sage green in both my north and south facing rooms. I've just redecorated and decided to pint the same again as it's so easy to live with.
