Can you help this idiot change a lightbulb?

It's been on my to-do-list for months and I'm determined to do it today.
It's on old spotlight that I haven't needed the change since living here before and I'm stumped. Can't work out how to get the old bulb out. See photo for the light when flush and when pulled down. It's a GU10 bulb.

Thank you

Does that inner ring pop off?
Our GU10 twist out, but I'm not sure you've got enough space currently. It shouldn't need to come out of the ceiling.

On my spotlights you don't pull the whole thing down. You push the bulb in slightly and it twists out. Then the front bit of the case slides off.

There a wire horseshoe shape ring in the left hand pic, blip at the bottom two prongs at the top. You pull that ring out.

Squeeze together the little metal wores and the light bulb will come out a bit. Fiddly as fuck these are.... I have 38 of them in my house!

Put on a rubber glove and gently push/turn the surface of the light bulb

Thank you thank you. Success. Yes it was the horseshoe/sweeping wires together things that I couldn't work out on my own. What a thrill having fixed it!

*squeezing not sweeping

Squeeze these wire tabs towards each other and the circlip that they are part of can be withdrawn.
