Empty sac

Has anyone been for a scan and gestational sac measured 5w5d but was empty then gone back 2 days later and a yolk sac visible ?

I think that can be the case - at that stage I had a yolk but no heartbeat and they said until six weeks you just can't tell and to know when it is over the six weeks can be tricky unless you are absolutely sure about your days. Try to be patient and get another scan in a week or so - I know how hard it is xx

I did. Was told sac was empty and collapsing. 1 week later the heartbeat was there. My DD is now 9. Don't lose hope just yet x

I had a blood test yesterday aswell as the scan my hcg levels are high it is being treated as a pregnancy of unknown location. They have asked me to go in for a rescan tomorrow I didn't think they would see much difference in 2 days but will see what they say .. i have had 2 previous miscarriages one was a mmc. Looking like this one could be the same unfortunately 😟

I hope tomorrow goes well. It is very hard but finding out the results is the first step.
