Breastfeeding - one big boob

Hey, I’ve been EBF for 10 months now and my baby prefers my right boob so I’ve been feeding more on this side. My right boob is now three times as big! I am feeding on the left now and expressing it - I just wondered if anyone has had this? If so did they balance out and how long did it take? Thank you!

Mine balanced out back to their normal side when I stopped feeding.

There was an awkward day at work when baby skipped his morning feed and my larger side engorged by lunchtime and was several cup sizes bigger than the other side which was easily noticed and commented on. Most of the time it wasn't that obvious to the casual observer though.

Thank you for replying! That is good to know they evened out. I haven’t been to bothered until I have been receiving comments from everyone about how it is three times bigger. Xx

Yes, this happened to me when the weather turned warm when I wanted to be wearing lighter, lower-necked clothing and it was really annoying. But it evened out as my dd reduced her feeding as I weaned.

I had that something terrible, my son struggled to latch one side but was fine the other so all feeds were done one side while I pumped from the other but they were very lopsided. They are back to normal now and have been for a while, 6 months after stopping BF.

Yep, same as PP - had it due to preferring one side. Once I stopped feeding my boobs went back to even (if deflated) and now I'm pregnant again I can tell I'm going to be lopsided again! You wouldn't be able to tell from looking, especially not in jumper weather, but it's definitely the case.

yes I’m thinking of when I’m on holiday lol! Oh well at least it will settle once we stop. Thank you for replying x

Itll settle down after you finish feeding OP. I had the same with my middle and it settled after I stopped, now have the same with DC3
