CV question

I'm updating my CV. I used to work for a company called:

John Smith LLP

They then changed to

John Smith Jones LLP

I left at this point. They are now

John Johnson LLP

Do I just put my previous employer as John Johnson LLP?

You could put 'formerly known as' in brackets.

I would use the current company name on your cv. Then it can be contacted without any doubt they have the right company if HR want to follow up with any references.

I read a lot of CVs and the normal pattern is to headline the firm as it was when you worked there and put (currently known as xxxxx) afterwards
