Does anyone have the children's book 'Sleep Tight Very Hungry Caterpillar'?

Book based on The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.

I'm slightly confused. Nice, light story for babies and toddlers. Ideal for bedtime.

Back cover says it's a lift the flap book, but it isn't. Publisher is Puffin.

Before you say "get something real to worry about", I honestly do have real things to worry about. I'm not worried, just curious to know how stuff like this slips through the net!

I think we've borrowed that one from the library, pretty sure it had flaps in front of all the animals. Yours might be missing them.

Maybe there is a lift the flap version and they've used the same cover?

Maybe it's worth millions as it has a rare error?!

That picture does look like it should have a flap over it.

We have that and it absolutely has flaps, looks like you got a duff one!

Ours has flaps, and it says 'Night night Cricket' on the underside of the flap, not on the same page as the other text.

That's the set my son received for Christmas so the book is from that. The book in the photos on that Amazon page DO show a lift the flap book. That is NOT what we have. We've scrutinised it.

The best example really is the photo I'll post here. The page with owls in the tree. The lift the flap version should show a tree, but you lift the flap to reveal the owls.

That looks like a mistake. You could send those photos to Puffin Books’s customer service email maybe. I’m sure they’ll have one if you Google it. They might send you a replacement copy.

I think the mistake is they’ve made a new version of the book with no flaps but forgot to change the back cover text.

I agree with this. Looks like a non-flap version where they forgot to change the text on the back cover. It really doesn't bother me and it's unlikely my baby will notice before he's too old to enjoy board books.
