Holiday destinations close to the airport . Any suggestions pls?

Am looking to go away for 3 nights abroad but needs to be very close to the airport.

We went to somewhere in Portugal last year and it was ideal as it was literally within 10 miles of the airport which is what we want. Partly to maximise our time there but also because I don't travel well so can't face a couple of hours travel once we land

Any suggestions please? Somewhere that'll be hot in June and short haul

Playa D'en Bossa or Ibiza Town are very close to Ibiza Airport. Nice beaches, good weather, the old town is lovely.

Kefalonia? We stayed in one of the main resort areas and it was literally about ten minutes from the airport. It's also ridiculously beautiful!

Depends where you're flying from as to what your options are. Most of the Canaries or Hurghada are short journeys the other side. You could also organise private transfers rather than the coach if that's better for you - most tour operators offer that as an upgrade option.

Santorini! You can see the airport from certain parts of the island!

Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura is close to the airport - you can see the planes coming in to land.

Palma Majorca?

Paphos is lovely

Marrakech. 15 mins to town from airport.

Malaga

If you liked Portugal then Olhão is wonderful
and only 15 minutes from Faro airport

Matagorda in lanzarote , you can walk down to the outer perimeter of the airport , and practically see the colour of the pilots eyes it’s that close
4 hour flight from U.K. , no time zone change

Bergamo, Italy. 20 mins from the airport and a beautiful walled town

Alicante. 20 mins from airport to Alicante town.

Malaga or close surrounding areas.

Definitely Split for weekend and longer .Close to airport and on the coast amazing history, great restaurants, cafes and bars .Unfortunately from January this year Croatia adopted the Euro and as a result prices are higher sadly .

Skiathos Town. About 10 mins drive from the airport! It’ll be lovely in June.

Salou is about 20 minutes from the airport.

Definitely agree with this.

Kefalonia also a good choice, lots of places near the airport. Spartia is a nice village and beach and only a half hour drive away down easy roads. Most of the Greek islands will be similar.

Barcelona (or Casteldelfells if you want beach resort)? Girona? Faro is lovely, agree with Palma Majorca, Mahon in Menorca lovely too (or Punta Prima if you want resort)

Alicante . We went recently and is 15 mins to the airport. It’s a lovely city more chilled than Barcelona but plenty to do and a lovely beach to swim at.

Copenhagen - easy with the metro.
