So have a hot water bottle on it, have moved around every hour or so. Rubbed gel on the area. Was going to have a hot bath maybe in a mo but dont think I could get in and out.

Only day 1, anything else I can do???

My physio gave me a pair of balls about4" diameter with spikes on when I have sciatica, stiff glutes etc. lie on your back with a ball under each buttock and move in small circles. It should relax the area and release and trapped nerve.

Sorry to hear that
is it a pulled muscle, strain?

probably just voltarol type gel or NSAIDs. It stabilises your pelvis so it does take a lot of strain of daily activity, you'll need to rest up.

Ah ok not sure where to get the balls from.

Ive moved around wveey couple of hours painful at first but better when Im mobile.

In bed now dreading getting up tomorrow!!!

If you have any cricket or even maybe tennis balls lying around the house you could try those instead. The balls just apply concentrated pressure - like a massage would do

Ah ok...it'd just one side though.

Do both so you don't go lopsided. The idea is to make both sides match.

ODFOx · 05/03/2023 23:05

Or look for spiky balls on Amazon

Tunnocks091 · 05/03/2023 23:15

One side is totally fine if it’s for a pulled muscle on just one side. You’d only need to balance the two sides if it was something in your back.

Yankydoodledandy · 05/03/2023 23:34

Yeah one side.
