What height, weight and size are you?

Saw another thread which inspired this. I'm 5'5, fluctuate between just under and just above 10 stone, and I wear a size 8 on top and size 10 or 12 on the bottom, generally. I don't really have much boobs lol and my hips are quite wide in comparison to everything else. My stomach isnt flat, as in it sticks out a little bit which is my least favourite part of my body but I wouldn't really call myself fat!

100% what I was thinking. I absolutely LOATHE this type of thread. They're right up there with the 'how much do you earn' threads? They are irksome and annoying, and make many low earners/people struggling with their weight, feel shit about themselves.

When the 'how much do you earn' threads are questioned, a few posters rush to defend them, and say 'other posters should be allowed to see that it's possible for women to have amazingly successful high-flying careers, and earn £150K a year.'

And who knows if the stats/figures people post are true anyway? It's the internet, we are all anonymous names on a screen. I take all these type of threads with a pinch of salt. @Imamumgetmeoutofhere I wouldn't let it get you down that dozens of posters are rushing to tell everyone how 'slim' they are... As I said, just take it all with a pinch of salt.

And yeah I KNOW I don't have to click on these threads before anyone comes out with that old chestnut. Just because I find them irksome, that doesn't mean I have no right to post my views on them.

i’ve recently put on some weight and was mourning the loss of my flat-ish stomach and hating my muffin top but then tried on a dress I’ve not worn in years because it’s low cut and my boobs had sagged and deflated because of giving birth and breastfeeding twice. Well now it looks fabulous and the extra weight has plumped them right back up again!

I'm 5'1 and about 8 1/2 stone which puts me at a size 8 on average. I have a pear shape so I need smaller tops than bottoms so it could be a 6 and a 10 depending on clothes. My BMI is 23 so I'm a healthy weight but I do look chunky.

Ideally I want to lose another stone but it's such hard work and I'm struggling to get the motivation to go further. It's doable because I did it in 2018 and kept it off until 2020 but I just like eating and drinking too much.

Thats quite interesting, so your weight is not in the obese category but your ratio is?

It just seems out the outlier on Mumsnet, the bigger one out of most posters. Yet in real life I'm more like the average, maybe ever so slightly bigger but nothing that stands out if that makes sense.

I do need to do something about my fitness and health though

Look too skinny though, desperately need to gain weight

175cm (I think 5'9") and 59kg (9 stone something) but have a bizarre shape due to untreated scoliosis. Have thin arms and legs, one v wide hip, biggish boobs and a rib hump. Wear 12-14 clothes, mostly 14, despite having not much body fat. Really hate my shape but really don't want surgery to fix it 🙄

@imnotwhoyouthinkiam, I bet there are lots of things about you that are infinitely more interesting and important than your physical shape.

If you want to lose weight there is help out there. And also, it might be an idea to look into getting some counselling because it must be awful to think of yourself in those terms.
