14 year old DS likes football and gaming

His bedroom is all black, greys and white. Small double bed, desk, tv unit, desk chair. Xbox and TV on TV unit, gaming laptop on desk and loads of empty drinks bottles. He has some framed prints of his favourite football players from around the world - retro style prints

familyissues12345 · 04/03/2023 16:18

Oh and LED lights

ShowOfHands · 04/03/2023 16:30

DD's friends like philosophy, chess, Scrabble, learning languages, photography, travel, reading, hiking, geocaching, archery, art, climbing, niche films, Monty Python, stand up comedy.

blueshoes · 04/03/2023 16:36

Possibly one of the ugliest things in the world but a gaming chair www.currys.co.uk/gaming/pc-gaming/gaming-furniture/gaming-chairs

Xbox, screens and other gaming paraphernalia.

VegetablesFightingToReclaimTheAubergieneEmoji · 04/03/2023 16:44

Yes Led lights, desk for gaming with a place for phone to do zoom gaming together.

music, vinyls, drum kit and guitars, decent speakers.

blueshoes · 04/03/2023 16:54

I asked my son (16). Bear in mind this is not going to win any design prizes.

A shoe rack for his millions of shoes.

An open rack for hanging his coats.

A sofa bean bag soft area to chill in.

Multipleexclamationmarks · 04/03/2023 16:58

My teen ds bedroom

Black paint
Pictures of star wars stuff and Spitfires
led strip lighting
gaming chair
drum sticks everywhere (but that's just him)
lego models displayed on the shelves with the led lights
Xbox stuff

BramleyAppleHotCrossBun · 04/03/2023 17:00

Odd homework, OP, what a challenge for your DD!

My son is 15 in a few weeks. He has a double bed in his room, with a wall mounted TV and a desk with a gaming PC and PS5. He mostly uses the PS5 though.

He loves Brooklyn 99, 00s films (random), music: usually punk rock style and cacti. He has several Pop Vinyl figures from TV shows he's enjoyed such as stranger things. He also has Marvel toys that he uses as ornaments. LED lights round the top, as is standard for their age I think Grin and can confirm that the mini fridge is his favourite thing in the world.

Gadgets and vag

PeekAtYou · 04/03/2023 17:07

My son likes
-gaming (he has a ps5 and screen on his desk)
-music (he has a guitar, speakers and both AirPods and wireless headphones)
-relaxing on his bed. Cushions are a must
-trainers (his dream bedroom would have special storage for his trainers )
-going out (storage for clothes like big coats, hoodies ...)
-a full length mirror so he can check that he looks good before going out.

MeinKraft · 04/03/2023 17:10

North face jackets
Entire packets of biscuits
Whole loaves of toast
Dominoes
Going about in a little gang and shoving each other. It makes them hoot with laughter
Weird YouTube videos
Xboxes

poshme · 04/03/2023 17:11

DS- piles of books
Piles of crockery
Empty beer bottles on display shelf (he collects them)
Chess set
Laptop for work
Big fluffy throw on his bed (no space for a chair so he lives on his bed)
No posters- quite minimal ice blue walls and stripey blind.

stuckasastuckthing · 04/03/2023 17:26

Thank you so much for all the ideas - really helpful!

Agree it's a weird homework - apparently they've been allocated a range of ages / sexes, I assume to teach the concept of designing for your client or similar.

Bottles of prime drink taking pride of place on a shelf 🙄

PeekAtYou · 04/03/2023 17:50

My ds would also like a mini fridge for cold drinks

Intergalacticcatharsis · 04/03/2023 18:16

Oh yes, the PRIME drink bottle is on display here too. That would make it very “January 2023”!

piedbeauty · 04/03/2023 18:39

Ds's room has a Desk. Double bed with plain covers. Lots of posters on the wall. Bookcase. Sports trophies and medals in a display unit. LED lights around the room.

Ds likes running, nature, photography, playing on his laptop, and drawing.

AKAsomeonelse · 04/03/2023 21:04

Yes also to the Prime drinks bottle display 😅
