DC have had a poorly week and I want to have a calm weekend for them.
They love Harry Potter and fantastic beasts. Is there any other films like these?

The School for Good and Evil on Netflix.

Percy Jackson?

Not mythical/magical, but Alex Rider might also be worth a look

How old are they? Is Wednesday on Netflix too old for them?

There's two films based on the Rick Riordan books (also a great read) "Percy Jackson and the..."
but quite a lot of peril and minotaurs and things so not sure how "calming"

Also a Scandinavian film called Troll which is dubbed into English on netflix

Percy Jackson definitely.
Spiderwick Chronicles.

Came on to say Percy Jackson. The kid who would be king is a great film and has that fantasy vibe. Also go old school with Willow.

DC(10) who loves Harry Potter also likes Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Percy Jackson and we've started watching the Hobbit.
Indiana Jones?

Baldieheid · 04/03/2023 20:42

Oh yes, Willow is fab! Val Kilmer is rather delicious in it, with his long hair...

Labyrinth

The Dark Crystal

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 04/03/2023 20:45

The Secret of Moonacre. It is based on a book called The Little White Horse, which was JK Rowling's favourite childhood book.

A series of unfortunate events.

How about Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children?
