What standard are this year’s GCSE and A level students (year 11 and 13) compared to pre pandemic?

Obviously they entered their courses after much disruption in their education. I was wondering if you can tell now, or have they caught up with pre pandemic students?

My students have done GCSE past papers and are making similar progress to those pre pandemic. The ones who attended live lessons and did the work during the pandemic are doing well.

There are a handful who have issues as a result of covid - anxiety, long covid - they aren't performing as well. But the majority are back to normal life.

I'm interested in this as my sons year 10 was still quite disrupted. They were in school full time but there was a huge amount of sickness and cover lessons in autumn and spring term. It settled for summer term.
