I know I am being utterly thick but I have Amazon prime and was wondering if I can read prime books included in that price of do I have to pay for a separate subscription? Thanks

Go onto the kindle menu and look for 'Prime reading'. All these books are available for you to download to your kindle or the app free. It's a bit like a library, you return them once you've read them.

I mean the kindle menu on Amazon's website, sorry if that wasn't clear.

You can only have 10 free prime books at a time, then you need to return.
There are also loads of free books available.
Prime unlimited reading requires a subscription.

Thanks all, I've had Prime for ages and didn't know about this Smile

Don't forget to Google Amazon first reads. You can choose one free book a month from a selection of eight books. I've found a few gems through that scheme.

@PleaseJustText Wow, I didn't know about this. I've just downloaded my first free book!! Thank you.
