Anyone have Vodafone broadband could help with a quick query?

I was hoping someone could help me with a quick query about Vodafone broadband. I was previously with them but have since moved elsewhere and can't access my old bills.

My question is - are you billed for your broadband in advance, or in arrears?

So, say a bill was generated on 1st March, and the direct debit is taken out 2 weeks later, is that bill for the period covering February or March?

TIA

I left in December and have been contacting them endlessly about this. I had BB, phone and mobile. You pay in advance, I'm owed around £70 but they just keep changing the date on how long it takes to generate a final bill, promise it will be emailed etc etc.

It's ridiculous that you can't access your account as soon as you leave. I've even had the runaround where they tell me my code and pw are incorrect, and if I can't remember it then they can't do anything - then the same code works the next day.

I've given up.

@daffodilandtulip thanks so much for your reply. I had broadband with them and I spent a very frustrated 2 hours speaking to one of their advisers on a web-chat. I also left in December, and then got a random letter saying I owed them £14 with no explanation for what it was for.

The person online was adamant that I hadn't left until the end of January, even though I have an email from them saying they were disconnecting my broadband on 19th December, which I provided to the advisor, who was also adamant that I owed £19, and not £14.

At about the 1hr 45 minute mark they changed their mind and said that the money was not in fact for the 'service' delivered to the end of January, but was in fact an unpaid bill which had been generated on 8th December - hence me asking the question here. But any unpaid portion from 8th Dec to 19th December would only be £8 at the most.

I asked for a detailed bill to be e-mailed to me which they said they would do, but didn't bother. I asked for it to be escalated to their manager, which they said they would do, but again didn't bother, and I asked for a quick link to get back on to the web chat - again, didn't bother.

I'm at a bit of a loss as this seems to be the only way of contacting Vodafone, through the bloody TOBI chatbot. I was really beginning to feel the rage about the 'computer says no' attitude. Angry
