What weird virus now?

Has anyone had this lately? It is really painful to move my eyes. It's like the sockets hurt and the muscles responsible for moving the eyes are stiff and painful? A sharp headache kind of pain?

I also have a bit of a sore tummy and questionable bowel movements, though not diarrhea. I'm lying here awake not feeling quite right and not able to sleep but can't put a finger on it.

Both DCs have been coughing this week, and one has been snotty with dodgy bowel movements too, so hoping that means it's just a virus we all have and I'm not about to go blind or something.

I can get quite anxious around my health so its stressing me out!

I have the sore eyes/eye sockets and tested positive for covid. It's super painful to look around, I have to move my head, rather than just my eyes. It may well be that, but I'm sure there's other stuff going around too.

Dodgy tummy and painful eyes were covid symptoms for me.

Oh I had this a few weeks ago - awful sinus headache and painful eyes. I tested negative for covid but I still wonder if it was covid after all, as I only did one test (all we had left).

Oh that's interesting. I did think Covid as it is a bit of a random combination of symptoms but when I googled painful eyes + Covid nothing came up and it didn't seem to be a thing.

But it sounds like it might be!

Yes! My husband and I have both had these symptoms as well as nasty coughs. Covid negative. Ibuprofen really helped and it settled after a couple of days.

I get that painful eye thing with flu. Might be Covid of course, it's always going to be around now.

Same symptoms here when I had covid.

Thank you. I do feel off, like my skin is delicate, slightly achy and a bit nauseous.

Of course it happens on the one day I'm home alone with the two little ones. Send me strength!

Did you test positive for covid? we have these symptoms at the moment and all tested positive for covid.

I didn't as we had no tests but I'm pretty sure it was Covid as we had a message from the school the next day advising that covid cases were increasing so much they were short staffed and might have to close. The sore eyes went after about 4 or 5 days, the other symptoms were quite mild. Hope you all feel better soon!
