Easy craft for a weekend away, what would you recommend?

I'm going away for a crafty weekend with friends. We all have a craft that we do that we are looking forward to having some uninterrupted time and good company to get a load done. One of the group doesn't do anything crafty and I'm a bit worried that she might be bored. Of course, she might be absolutely fine just sitting on the sofa and chatting to us, and she has said she'll make the tea and top up our wine glasses. But she has also been looking around for something to make or do that will be easy and a one off.

I have so far suggested jigsaws, diamond painting or paint by numbers. Amazon have diamond painting coaster kits, so she could make something pretty and bring it home to use.

Any other suggestions that I could pass on to her, needs to be an easy learning curve, not too expensive in initial outlay on equipment and preferably completable over two/three days.

How about embroidery ?

Needle felting?

. Or we had a lovely night counting out two bird shapes, hand sewing and stuffing then adding embroidered wings, lace etc. fun to riffle through lots of spare bits of lace and velvet rather than buy kits.

Willow baskets. Quite pricey though with the kit and the instruction videos.

I second a cross stitch kit. Or might she like doing a colouring book for adults?

Oh or a lampshade making kit, I did that once, it's very easy. You just need to pick some nice fabric.

You can buy sticker books for adults on amazon. Where different coloured geometric shapes build up a picture.

I second cross stitch, or something super quick and easy like beeswax candle rolling or making a teddy bear or soap making with one of the kits you can get at the Range or similar. Or what about earring making? That way she gets to take something home that's pretty and useful and easy enough to make.

I'd personally be happy sitting colouring or writing or playing with my camera and/or software and enjoying your company in between the cups of tea.

I have a few crafty friends and they've never understood that I'm perfectly happy not to be taught how to crochet/knit etc, they've tried enough times and given up in despair at my lack of dexterity :)

Stone painting is quite fun .

Dorset button making. Just need a small curtain ring, needle and bright thread. Lots of online instructions. If you go for fairly big ring you can make them into wallhangings. They are simple and quite relaxing to make.

Definitely a kit of some sort. Clay for pot making? Jesmonite is fun and lots of starter kits for coasters etc.

I'm a bot of a craft numpty but I find them relaxing to make - start simple and you have something quite pretty on an hour.

How about a silk or dried flower wreath? You can get kits for them and it would be really nice to take home after.

I'd love to have a go at macrame too and make a little hanging for my wall.

We're going down a rabbit hole on our WhatsApp group. Friend who doesn't craft hasn't posted yet, but the rest of us are getting into it. My least favourite so far is a wine making kit, my favourite is a charm bracelet kit so that we can all have matching friendship bracelets.

I've found flower crown kits. I think we should all wear them to the pub for dinner and properly freak them out.

What about baking the rest of the group a range of different treats?!

I could totally go along with that one.

Make some bunting - only need to be able to do a simple running stitch. SHe could make it even easier by using felt for the main "flag" and embellishing it with some motifs cut from fabric and attached with bondaweb (might still running stitch around the edges to make sure they don't peel off.
