Lyric theatre - where to eat/drink nearby?

Hello all, niece and I are off to the theatre this Sunday and I’d be grateful for recommendations on anywhere fairly nearby for food and drink.
Preferably not a chain. Must sell alcohol :)

TIA

The Lyric in Hammersmith? I like the dosas at Sagar: www.sagarrestaurant.co.uk/menu

Mahdi is a terrific Persian restaurant nearby. The tah-chin is amazing. The portions are massive.

Or the Lyric on Shaftesbury Avenue? What are you going to see @Motherfeckinlegend?

Sorry! Shaftesbury Avenue.

Dd and I went to Flat Iron yesterday, it’s great if you like steaks - we went to Dirty Martini for cocktails before hand which was also good. Both in Covent Garden, they are chains but very good food/drinks.

Bloomsbury kitchen was amazing when I went to the theatre the other day. Might be further than you want to walk but the pre theatre menu was good value for such quality and service.

How old is your niece, and what sort of food does she like?

And are you confident in the West End and happy to wander round a bit – there are obviously some great Chinese restaurants in Soho. Or do you just want somewhere by the theatre?

Hi, niece is 29 and we’re happy walking around (or getting a cab).
