Ate guacamole that's been open for 4 months

🤢🤢 had Mexican and used a squeezy tesco guacamole and sour cream dip from the fridge that was half used. Thought it was from last week.

Husband then said after we've finished that the co-op ones are the ones we bought last week and that these ones are from months ago. Atleast four. Says use within a week

Am I going to get food poisoning? Is it a bacteria haven? It didn't taste bad as we didn't notice. I feel sick now I know..

The squeezy kind have tons of preservatives. They're not even refrigerated in the shop. You will be absolutely fine :)

I think those are so full of chemicals you'll be fine. The fresh stuff would have long gone mouldy. You'll be fine I'm sure.

If you mean the shelf stable type then I can't imagine it will be that bad tbh it will probably. If effect you at all

You'll be fine. People keep Mayo in the cupboard and just eat it till it's finished. For months. Even in the summer!

I know this as I used to work on the hellmans care line. We never got any food poisoning calls and it's just eggs and oil.
