Hi so it was my daughters 3rd visit to
nursery they told me to let her bring her comfort bunny in to help her settle and promised they would not let her loose it, I’ve picked her up and she’s lost it she’s devastated she won’t sleep without it they tried to find it and no luck 😞

They should be asking other parents when they come in tomorrow if it’s been put in their bag at all.

Chubbhamstercheeks · 01/03/2023 18:53

That’s what they said I wouldn’t of sent her in with it I’m so gutted and now she’s screaming for him she calls him pp

Always have at least two of anything they show a preference for, swap them round regularly so they smell the same and deteriorate at the same rate.
Doesn't help you now though, check again tomorrow in the toy cupboards and such.
We found one of DDs special toys at nursery months after she’d lost it. It had been put away with all the other toys.

she got given it when she was born you can’t even buy them I’m scoured the bet any advice on how to settle her without it?

Hopefully they'll be trying to find it. I know on the rare occasion we lost a toy we used to check all other bags, check all toys and equipment. Hopefully it'll turn up ASAP!

Chubbhamstercheeks · 01/03/2023 19:04

i shouldn’t of let her take it in I’m kicking my self as they promised nothing like this wouldn’t happen and made out like I was being silly for being upset

If they specifically promised to take care of it, then made out I was silly to be upset,I would pick another nursery.

Though I would also never send anything precious.

Chubbhamstercheeks · 01/03/2023 19:23

im going to change nursery I think they said also they would send a message on the app for the parents and they haven’t I think I’m done

Please please please other parents take note of this post - never ever ever send a sentimental item into school / nursery. This mum is learning the very very hard way.

Chubbhamstercheeks · 01/03/2023 19:29

i literally Sinatra want to and the nursery worker said no she needs it and promised to keep it safe

Do you happen to know any of the other parents OP? Could you contact one via WhatsApp/FB etc and get them to send a message and get a round Robin going? If someone has taken it home by mistake perhaps you’d be able to collect it tonight?

Namechangedforthisonetoday · 01/03/2023 19:36

Or even a friend that may know a parent whose child goes there?

Chubbhamstercheeks · 01/03/2023 19:49

It was only her 3rd visit so don’t know any of the parents, she’s crying and shouting for pp 😞

I’ve searched the net and can’t find it it’s looks like this it’s a Morrisons nutmeg one

I'm really sorry this has happened, my daughter thankfully got attached to a jellycat thing much easier to source so she has 3 on rotation. The attitude of the nursery though would make me think twice about sending her there. Although if you take her out now less chance of getting it back! Crossing my fingers it turns up tomorrow, and I hope your daughter settled eventually.x

Chubbhamstercheeks · 01/03/2023 20:51

She’s still up I’ve been frantic searching for a identical one but can’t seem to find one

Do you have any friends though that may know a parent whose children go there? Do you have a picture of it? This is such a long shot but if you post a picture and your area, someone may have one. Mumsnet is magic for something like this x

Namechangedforthisonetoday · 01/03/2023 21:22

Fwiw, someone will have taken it home by accident I’m sure of it, what a nightmare for you all tonight though. I’d be so cross with the nursery x

Chubbhamstercheeks · 01/03/2023 21:26

I'm sure it's gone home in the wrong bag by mistake and will turn up tomorrow. Have a look on vinted or eBay or something. I managed to find backups of my kids' favourite comforters. Hope she's sound asleep now.

Namechangedforthisonetoday · 01/03/2023 21:28
