Going to a gig in a couple of weeks, anyone have any restaurants in the area they recommend to avoid me going to a chain at Westfield?! (As we'll be shopping prior!)

Following as I am doing similar. It's not Damien Rice you're seeing is it?

This is a nice vegetarian place v nearby.

Or a bit further on is this cinema which does food/nice cafe riversidestudios.co.uk/eat-and-drink/

Or there are loads of pubs locally that do food but can't think of a particular one right now

If you like pizza go to Zia Lucia on Blythe Road. Its half was between Westfield and the Apollo and the pizza has been voted the best in London. I used to live nearby and miss it so badly!

There is a nice curry house just round the corner - Rangrez

On King Street, walking distance to Apollo

Mahdi Iranian restaurant on King Street. Persian food wins hands down every time 😋

Rangrez is brilliant!

There are also quite a few nice places slightly further down Hammersmith Broadway - I really like Kenta (Japanese) and the Old City Arms, which does ace Thai food in a pub setting.

Well there is always Wagamamma! I like the Swan Pub for food or the William Morris with is a Weatherspoons but does get crowded. Those two are in King Street. There is also a nice Japanese restaurant opposite Charing Cross Hospital I think called Kenta (Fulham Palace Road) I have been there twice or a pizza/ tapas place which is on the same side, I think called Amalfi. Not been but one of the porters has and said it was nice. There is also a Thai - Reun Thai a little further down Fulham Palace Road but not far from the hospital. I have been about 4 times and like it. Might be best to book or at least look them up.

The Blue Anchor. On the tow path by the bridge. A wonderful pub and great food. It's my go to in Hammersmith.

Deathraystare · 03/03/2023 15:22

@FoxFeatures

Gosh that is one place I have not been too!

Perhaps if I force myself to walk along the tow path again -you know- get healthier and start walking more I could reward myself with a nice meal or something there!!!

Exactly what I was coming on to suggest. Also The Bridge over the bridge is good too.

Deathraystare · 03/03/2023 15:25

Hmm. Just looked at the Blue Anchor menu. Nothing really jumps out at me. Not a fan of burgers (veggie burgers, I don't eat meat). But they do have apple crumble.....

If you like Thai food then Poppy's 2 is nearby on Greyhound Road.

You'll need to book, bring your own alcohol and pay by cash, but the food is reasonably priced.
