If you take magnesium for sleep, when do you take it?

Hi,

Just that really. I hear you're supposed to take with food, but then I also hear you should take it just before bed....but obviously I don't eat just before I go to bed 🤔 so which is it?

I notice it helps relax me if I take it after my evening meal and will mostly drop off easy ish, but have been waking loads! Would taking it on an emptyish stomach be OK and more likely to keep me asleep 😫🙏

Thanks!

Mine says to take before bed on an empty stomach.

I take mine with a camomile tea when I go to bed for a bit of a read.

I have not read but saved in watch. There was a thread on magnesium and HRT in the menopause section. I'll try to link. Just in case there's any wisdom in there!

@gamerchick oh, which do you take?

@mbosnz I always have a camomile tea before bed too. Helps a little sometimes.

@GarveySister Ah, sorry to hear that. Hope something works for you soon.

@stilldumdedumming Thanks for the link.

Looks like the magnesium sprays seem to be most popular.
